Materials
We carefully select excellent quality leather for its long-lasting durability and stability. It is full grain leather, where the upper surface of the animal’s hide is left intact.

Full grain bovine leather, since the outset
The Super Guide and Super Rando models are renowned for their full grain bovine leather, a historic material that is still used by Galibier to this day. This was originally sourced from Limousin cows born and raised in France for their meat. Considered to be a waste product, these hides are recycled by our tanners to create leather that is both strong and stable over time. A light coating protects the leather from water and dust whilst preserving its original raw appearance. The hide’s upper surface remains intact, and the total thickness of the leather measures 2.4 millimetres!

Monoblock construction
Staying true to Galibier’s heritage, the upper of the new version of the Super Rando is crafted from a single piece of leather. This minimalist method reduces the amount of stitching, limiting the risk of water or dust infiltration. The boot has a streamlined structure, making it lighter and more flexible.
Caring for the environment
Our tanners adhere to strict standards in terms of water management, waste processing and energy consumption, as well as health and safety in the workplace. They hold Oeko Tex Leather® and LWG Gold® accreditation, some of the most stringent international certifications in terms of social and environmental criteria. This guarantees that the leather is produced sustainably and responsibly.
